1. Maintaining a Skin Regime for the night time
During the night we like to settle into our lovely warm beds but we are still not free from free radicals active even at night and are the worst cause of ageing. During the night cellular renewal is also at its peak and the skin is more receptive to the products we apply before sleeping so it is essential that your basic skin regime is twice a day: morning and night. A regular skin care regime will benefit your skin greatly.
Your day time skin regime: Focuses more on prevention with a moisturiser an SPF and topical antioxidant.
Your night time skin regime: Focuses more on repairing and restoring your skin from the battles of the day.
2. If you have Blackheads
Use an exfoliant to clear pores and prevent clogging. Avoid oily type products like thick moisturisers.

3. The best time to start anti-ageing products
Generally around the age of 25 is a good time to begin using anti-ageing products. However it is never too soon to start protecting yourself from external factors like the sun with a good SPF and topical antioxidant. Also the excesses of alcohol, smoking and late nights play a large part in speeding up the ageing process.

4. A good nights sleep
We all know a good nights sleep is essential for your health, beauty and well being. Try to get to bed at the same time in the evening so that you get into a regular sleeping pattern. Try to avoid eating late to allow your body to rest. If you have trouble sleeping a cup of herbal tea may help relax you into that much needed sleep zone.
5. The importance of under eye cream:
The skin under your eyes is 5 times thinner than anywhere else on your body. The skin around your eyes is also one of the most sensitive. When the skin is not hydrated enough, wrinkles can develop under the eyes. A moisturising eye balm at night and eye gel during the day can help minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Please note: the skin around your eye will naturally absorb eye creams, always apply on the brow and high cheekbone. Never apply directly under the eye or on the lid!

6. Smoking
An obvious point to make however smoking is the cause of the worst free radical attack to your skin and is a catalyst for ageing! If you are a smoker and you want to maintain youthful looking, radiant skin you can add this as one of your reasons to give up smoking. Smoking destroys your natural vitamin C, using SkinCeuticals vitamin C serums are the wonder products needed.
7. Oxygen
Your body needs oxygen so keep your body moving and walk as much as possible in the office, up the stairs, more oxygenated skin can mean a better complexion!

8. The importance of using an SPF
The UK now has a higher rate of skin cancer than Australia. Due to the famous British Weather we think we are safe from the sun, not knowing that even on a cloudy day we need sun protection.
It is vital to use an SPF to protect your skin from the biggest cause of Free Radicals on your skin, the Sun.
Free Radicals are what destroy the skins collagen. UV radiation from the sun is one of the major causes of free radicals forming on the skin. Protecting your skin from the suns UV rays is how to minimise free radical damage. Using an SPF will help achieve this. For a complete preventative programme you can use an SPF in conjunction with an effective antioxidant.
9. Important factors to bear in mind when using an SPF –
Make sure your SPF contains zinc oxide as it gives you more protection than with an SPF which does not contain this.
Apply a walnut size amount of your SPF onto any areas of skin that will be exposed to sun. Do not rub onto the skin! Pat this onto the skin until it disappears. Allow 30 minutes for absorption before going outdoors (unless applying SkinCeuticals Physical UV Defence which is effective as soon as applied)

10. Keep your surface skin unclogged
Exfoliating your skin is a great way to get rid of dead skin cells. In doing this your skin is softer and smoother as a result.
Treat yourself to a mask once week and notice the difference it will make to your skin! C + AHA is also a great way to exfoliate the skin.
11. Sit up straight, stand tall!
A healthy posture keeps your skin firm – throughout the day check that you are keeping your shoulders lowered and neck comfortably lengthened. This helps alleviate stress as well as keeping your skin firm!
